COMING FROM Caherlistrane, CO GALWAY TO OUR NATIONAL SCHOOL
Castlehackett National School is just over 8KM from Caherlistrane Village. You can travel via Knockma Woods which is definitely the scenic route from Caherlistrane to Castlehackett , or travel via Keane’s shop and Manusflynn , where youll come close to “Lough Hackett” which we can see here in the picture. You will also see “Castlehacket House” , our name sake !
You can also come from Caherlistrane via the Knockma Woods – some people park and take the back entrance , but best to park in the official location car park near Knockma itself .

Caherlistrane has a famous GAA club and was founded in 1888 , many of our School Students play football for Caherlistrane outside of School and we support them all the way !
Many of our Students also live in Caherlistrane , due the proximity to our School.
