Castlehackett National School is a 63 pupil school with a brilliant pupil to teacher ratio. There are 3 class teachers working alongside 2 Special Education teachers and a Special Needs Assistant.
We have a pre-school and an Afterschool on site. We are a coding centre of excellence with a modern facility that includes a running track, astro pitch and a sensory garden.

Tiny Tots Pre School
Tiny Tots Preschool offer a service until 2pm daily. We cater for children from 2.5 years until they enter school. We offer the ECCE scheme that runs from 9am-12pm free of charge for eligible children. Read More

After holding the largest inaugural 8k event in the west of Ireland in 2015, Castlehackett 8k continued to hold highly successful events in 2016, 2017 , 2018 , 2019 , paused in 2020 , held virtually in 2021 and back in 2022 ! See you in 2023 !
